Panic rippled through Raghav as he finally recognized Arvind Khanna. Arvind spoke calmly: “She didn’t leave you. She outgrew the story you wrote.” He turned to me, and the room shifted.

No one spoke. Priya stepped back. I did not look at Raghav. I took Arvind’s hand. “Let’s go home,” he said. And for the first time, I understood I was never the forgotten one—just the one who had already won.
